Scenery Describing

The clouds were overcast and the sky was dark. The persian green sea and the calm waves moved like a fish, relaxed and free. The white sand turned arsenic as the soft splash of the waves went across them. The huge rock stood like a bird on a tree, awaiting a disaster.

Home Learning

Comic Strip 1: http://www.toondoo.com/cartoon/2725140
Comic Strip 2: http://www.toondoo.com/cartoon/2727359

For Comic strip 1 I chose that background because it depicts Singapore's blue sky and sunny weather. The main purpose of Comic strip 1 is to show the identity of Singaporeans through the way they speak (Singlish) and different terms that they use. In the end the tourist (Protagonist) ends up thinking that the Chinese man is crazy because he is not used to the way that Singaporeans talk.

For Comic strip 2 there are 4 different backgrounds, each having a different purpose. The first picture depicts the scene of the tourist being in the Esplanade. He is watching his show, which explains why he wanted to go to the Esplanade. Later on he moves back to the hotel after eating a plate of chicken rice. Then lastly as he moves to watch the sunset he finds out that Singapore is a multi-racial country, existing with 4 races.

Prejudice

This is my first blog post for 2011 and I am quite nervous about it.

Anyways, prejudice is something that everybody would encounter, be it you being the victim or the person who does it. Even though you may not want it, prejudice would come into your life someway or another.

Prejudice may come in many forms, be it Racism, Sexism, etc. It tears relationships apart, causing us to fall out with each other, making things even worse. If prejudice did not exist, the world would definitely be a better place. Certain measures we could take to eliminate prejudice would be if we could try to understand and put ourselves into the victim's shoes.

What I would want to know is a understanding of how the person who has prejudice feels and how he would try to curb his flaw.
